Overview
Skills and certifications

Allows you to view, capture, and update information on skills and certifications held by an employee, such as:

Many employees achieve Professional Certifications as part of job development for career enhancement, to build company proficiencies and in-house skills on products and to achieve PartnerWorld level requirements. Individuals achieve IBM professional certifications in order to validate their skills on key products, solutions, and verified industry solutions. Skills are calculated on a weighted factor depending on the complexity, in order to more accurately reflect the effort required to obtain them.

Individuals can now earn five weighted skill points (certifications) to count towards their firm's skill level rather than the limit of two points (certifications). This allows individuals to contribute a slightly larger portion of the level requirement.

Skills and certification data in PartnerWorld Profiling System (PPS) can be used by the Business Partner for several purposes:

To obtain a complete and comprehensive view of Business Partner certifications

To assess education requirements and accurately target skills/development initiatives

To contribute to the points required for PartnerWorld Advanced and Premier level qualification

To allow Business Partners to identify other complementary Business Partners with whom they wish to work as part of Find a Business Partner directory

To meet Software Value Plus requirements (only for Software Business Partners).

To meet hardware contract compliance (only for Hardware Business Partners)
